Transitions: We used several effective transitions, which included "dip to black" for the start and 'cross dissolve' to move swiftly from scene to scene.
'dip to black' added tension as it slowly moved from light to dark and vice verse...connoting mystery.
Bulb: Our old scenes were less effective then our newer scenes with the red light bulb, but we discovered that out older scene sounds were very effective, so we ended up decided to black some of the old scenes out and place titles over them making the sounds non diegetic and seem almost like a memory.
Titles: In the titles/credits, we decided to make the font 'chiller', this is because of the childish style we thought this really added an eerie feel to our thriller opening.

We had trouble trying to film a reflection, as the camera was seen which made this ineffective, however we over came this problem but filming at an angle beside the mirror so that neither we or the camera could be seen. we had to take care with the knife, the plan was to walk at a fast pace with the knife but we decided against this as we didn't want to create a hazard, therefore we poured ketchup on a knife and asked my dad to hold it still and we took a still image of this and slowly zoomed so that no one was put in danger. One other thing that we found quite difficult to over come was continuity errors, one shot had to be taken at least three times as we found it hard to stop any continuity errors from arising. However we over came many errors

Two of the main characters, the curious couple, were the were made to wear a white top, to show how pure and innocent they were. On the other hand the deranged, crazy girl that was locked in the bed room was made to wear a black top to connote mystery with white specs on it to show that she was once pure but over time she became tainted.
CHANGES
As we began to film our thriller opening we came across a number of difficulties, firstly we lost one actor and actress, as they couldn't make it on the day that we decided to film for personal reasons, so a change had to be made to those who acted in the opening, therefore Sharlene Kawooya, woody Joseph and Amma Osei ended up being the main characters. The second problem that we came across w as that we couldn't film in the park that we had first intended on filming as it was too dark by the time we got there and this meant that we had a limited amount of time to film which wasn't ideal. Therefore we had to film indoors. Another problem we came across was the fact that to make the house look scary we had to switch off all of the lights. This meant that we couldn't see and that the camera wasn't clear. We over came this problem by shinning a flash light on the area that we were going to film.

a change.
As a group we had to over come a few obstacles. As we couldn't find our last male character because he dropped out at the last minute, we have now replaced him with another male character who will be performing the same roles. Robert Igbodo will now be playing the part of Samuel. We have also given him more lines as he requested that he would like to have a bigger part in the thriller opening.
